Well, I just gave the new tutorial a try, upon hearing that voice acting had been included for it. I must say I was expecting a rather misfit result, but the voices for everyone sounded great! Fitting, yet striking. Grin
My only complaints are the our characters have a set voice and accent. If there were different voices we could choose for our character, I think it'd be a bit better. Also, the narrator for the tutoral should'nt need to voice the "you do this, you do that" messages. Wink

I'd personally like to see this throughout the rest of the game in future. How about everyone else?

I'd agree with what you said.

Would take a lot of programming to get it in the whole game.

I'm not 100% on receive pronunciation speaking-style. Roddick maybe, but Sir Vant shouldn't be so well spoken. I don't know... it really pisses me off when American TV thinks that RP is the "English accent" when it's scarcely spoken... even the BBC doesn't use it any more and RP used to be termed BBC English. They could've at least used "Standard English", which is that plain accent used in the southern parts of the country...

In-ven-TORY, not invent-ary. Sorry, that word just ground me gears hearing it being said wrong.

Also, I agree Blaze. We didn't need the female overseer, and choice-accents would be nice on our character.

I think they tried to captivate the stereotypical "noble and dignified" accent and manner of speech that people associate with the time-period RS is set in.

Hmmmm... Sigh

I still don't think Sir Vant's accent suits the way he's saying some of the words.

I went into it and was like WTF? No sound? I had it muted, too Tongue

For all the time Jagex spends on sounds and stuff, it sure is unappreciated.

But it's like the music on Nintendo Games... it's like, going back now, how did I spend hours not minding having that playing in the background?! It's sooooo annoyingly boring and repetitive.

I thought the received pronunciation was necessary but still annoying.
