[P] The Overview: Pallis
First topic message reminder :
Actually, that's not 100% true. When I first came up with the idea, my memory of the Stone was false. I had it in my head that the raised section was only partial--covering a much less than half segment. However, being half-n-half is just as awesome.
The only issue that's been itching in the back of my mind is that I have no reason why landmass in the lower world formed - or rather why it formed as it did. Ah well.
My source of inspiration for the Upper World (starting from the begining, and all that); The Overview: Pallis
The base thread for discussion on Pallis.

Re: [P] The Overview: Pallis
Oh yeah, to answer your questions in like the first post... that is just a screenshot from While Guthix Sleeps. I have not done the quest, but that was the best image of the Stone on RSW. I modelled Gielinor as if it was shaped like the stone - with the hex, and the shell. The Hex is the matrix that lies within the land, and RuneScape lies on top of it. The shell is Pallis, it lies far about the world below and his little magic (because it's further away from the Hex). The hex isn't visible in RuneScape, it's beneath a layer of earth and in most places water.
The image shows where I got the idea for the two halves, and how the two halves sorta look (even down to the cracks).

Re: [P] The Overview: Pallis
Wrong sort of age.
But I vote 12+ / 15. (giving the speed at which what's classed as a 15 is going down)

Re: [P] The Overview: Pallis
Umn so big question here: How does [human player X] end up on Pallis. I think it should require as little Gielinor specific stuff as possible and mroe just be general stuff that could happen in a fantasy game

Re: [P] The Overview: Pallis
Well if this is still part of Gielinor, then we'd be human. If we're separating the two, then I'd say we are Dwallish. I suppose we could have multiple paths choosing either dwallow or mogrul, but-- I suppose that's up for discussion.
If they are the same game, the human populous is in RuneScape. If not the same game, there would be no human populous, ie unless we put humans down there there's no humans.

Re: [P] The Overview: Pallis
If this is a "own" game, we could choose to be either Mogruls or Dwallows if this is a expansion to Runescape then humans ofc. we cant change who we are. and then we would be more to the dwallows. Not as they are more humans, but as they are maybe more human-likes then the mogruls...
The minor races, diminors, scorpies, moles... would be a NPC-only race. as it is a minor civilization... THAT is my oppinion ;D

Re: [P] The Overview: Pallis
That last bit is a very good reason. You worded it much better than me.
Hm, I still think just dwallow is better than dwallow or mogrul... Purely because it'd be like human or ogre, they'd have to be almost entirely different games since I can't see the stories being multi-race compatible.
But if this is an expansion, human of course. But the dwallow would still be playable through Crin's prologue.

Re: [P] The Overview: Pallis
We doesn't have a h in it.
Also, at what point would we not be making our own game? Even if it's the same character, it's a different world and story. I'm not saying we are doing it that way, just highlighting potential paths.
