Re: Chat: Scape
Just creating a prologue of sorts of Reigalis. I would like most of the main-main characters to have playable/watchable "prologues".
Re: Chat: Scape
Who are "they" though? Why were they being kind to Furvusan? I'm intrigued.

Re: Chat: Scape
The first 'they' was the gods, all the italic "theys" were referencing to the Dark Masters.
Re: Chat: Scape
Gah. I wanted to look back and find meaning now that I know that, and you've deleted the dialogue. You tease.

Feel free. Try to keep in mind our best efforts to make all the races as different as possible.
Re: Chat: Scape
Hmm, half serpent is ok? ANd I mean, something like hte Vipers from DIablo 2. Also, speaking of other games, anyone remembers warhammer 40K?

Re: Chat: Scape
Like the Naga in WoW, and gorgons in mythology? I'll reserve judgement.
I was planning on being inspired by their orks at some point, what of it?
And yes Slayer, I do enjoy to tease. I may repost it shortly, but I wasn't happy with it.

Re: Chat: Scape
Not like the Naga or Gorgons, hmmm, more like, snake body, with snake head, and arms that end un with fingers made of snakes *shifty eyes*
Nothing's wrong, just checking if anyone still in there about 40K, lot's of things to draw inspiration.

Jennasea: You have not been yourself of late. Not since dear Gallian's death.
Reigalis: What do you want me to say?
Jennasea: Do you feel remorse?
Reigalis: Not over their deaths.
Jennasea: Then what?
Reigalis: Our motivation.
Jennasea: It is our way.
Reigalis: So it has always been. But they were good to us, and as exiles--
Jennasea: NO! We are not abandoned!
Reigalis: How will They find us? I've studied the stars: this world is not known back home.
Jennasea: I--
Reigalis: We acted brashly. The gods would have been powerful allies: now we are alone.

Re: Chat: Scape
How very interesting. My hunch was right. Whereas I'd written the lore so that the Furvusan killed the Gods immediately after their arrival, you've interpreted there being some time between the two events. And I like it. It's much more interesting and has much more storyline potential.

Re: Chat: Scape
I assumed that if they were as calculating as you had written them, then they would at least need to know their enemy: how many, who, where, etc. I thought it interesting is perhaps the gods gave sanctuary to the exiled newcomers.
Re: Chat: Scape
Yes. It makes more sense and is more interesting.
Though it leaves one question: How did the Astratii fail to stop them?

Re: Chat: Scape
If both races arrived and were both new: their alignments would be unknown. If the Furvusan sought sanctuary from the Astratii trying to kill them, then perhaps they would be perceived as the bad guys?
Re: Chat: Scape
You don't think the Astratii told anyone they were evil or they weren't believed when they did?

Re: Chat: Scape
What reason would you have to believe them? Both races were at war with each other when they arrived, and the Furvusan put down their blades (so it seemed) when they realized they were stranded (why fight?). The Astratii pursued for obvious reasons, but it's all looks very bad to an onlooker.
Re: Chat: Scape
Haha. That seems about right.

Hey, Iw as thinking if I could makea Furvusan if it's not much of a bother. Oh, and I was thinking about that serpent race, why not mixing it up with scorpion?
