Re: Chat: Scape
I never thought the history page was particularly difficult to understand :S
And the great thing about a wiki is that you don't have to read back through pages or know of ingame discussions to keep up. Everything we know about Scape can be found on the wiki.
This is a little teaser for the work I'm going to do today:
The Deadmist Venture
The mysterious Red Reaper has convinced you and Brand to join a group of treasure hunters searching for loot in the ghost-town of Deadmist, located on the border between Maukir and Rivel. But things don't add up. Why are treasure hunters taking so many weapons? Why do they even need assistants? Why Deadmist? And how has your party picked up a mysterious stalker?
You and Brand are walking into grave danger.
The Deadmist Venture will be the first quest in the Vesacre storyline, features appearances from 3 recurring characters and introducing at least 4 new ones.

Re: Chat: Scape
There are currently no wars in History (or major ones). The introduction of the Astratii and Furvusan alludes to a war between them, but it was essentially ended (for those on Tarian) when their battle destroyed the Gate (I changed the inter-dimensional war bit ). However, the death of the Gods could be the start of a war between the native Tarians and the "aliens".
Assuming our game can handle companions better than Zanik/Phillipe, and Brand actually generally helps you rather than just being at certain points having already done his tasks; then you've basically just created a quest that supports a "squad", which you said was lame.

Re: Chat: Scape
They won't be a "squad", don't worry. The treasure hunters will be worse than useless

Re: Chat: Scape
I wasn't planning on getting too choked up on the mechanics of the whole thing, just more writing a decent storyline.

Is it just me or are you trying to remove all references to the interdimansional war? Do you not like the concept?

Re: Chat: Scape
I honestly didn't notice that I had removed it while I was writing. I kinda wrote a load of new titles and then cut/paste the content from the existing stuff under the new titles and wrote loads of new stuff. By the time I was done, the last gate was closed without a war happening. I did proposed a compromise on the last page though (a war between the inter-dimensional races without specifically being inter-dimensional). Although I don't think it should last too long, it's mortals squabbling over a misunderstanding.
Feel free to re-tweak the Old Kingdom to add the war though.

I'm fine with a new project, but I, considering we are a RUNESCAPE suggestion team, and we are planning a raid on RSOF, I would feel more at ease if we still worked on other projects, such as finishing HA (which many of you thing I'm obsessed with).

Re: Chat: Scape
I know this'll sound incredibly cynical and mean, but there's very little chance of our suggestions making it into RuneScape. With 3mpty intending to put his games development skills to use, however, ideas pitched to Scape stand a much better chance. That's how I see it. That's why I'll be largely dedicated to this project from now on.

All the information is on the wiki. Read it there, that's what it's for.

Re: Chat: Scape
Browse, Dusk. That's the beauty of a wiki, stuff's linked together. You see something that interests you in one article, click on it, read that article and so on.
Right now though, there isn't masses to cover. Try the Races category, perhaps?

Re: Chat: Scape
Permitted everyone's remembering to put Category:Scape on each page, go to the bottom of the Scape page for all the articles.
Re: Chat: Scape
Personally, I don't care that our ideas won't make it into RS: the fun of this gig comes from writing suggestions, not getting them in game. Furthermore, the universe of Gielinor is the base of all of our suggestions, the thread that ties us to other suggestors: we can post our ideas elsewhere and get more members.
I'm just saying I don't want all of our effort going to 3mpty's project.

Re: Chat: Scape
If it's fun writing suggestions then does it matter where they go? As a group, we're not going to fall apart because of this. You can still write suggestions for RuneScape if you want and I'll still help you with them if you ever ask, it's just not the direction I want to go in right now.

Re: Chat: Scape
It doesn't matter where they go, it's just that I'm done writing my own suggestions for RS and in order to get more members/prepare for the Raid, we need suggestions for RS. As I've said, I'm fine with a side projects, it's why I have like 7, but I would like an RS project for the group to work on.
Oh and if you'll help me, then read the Svet Trilogy pl0xors?

I always thought we were just delaying it. We have amassed quite a number of suggestions.
