Re: Derohk, Guardian of the Ash Diamond
It's just that abhorance of asymetry reminds me of a character.

Re: Derohk, Guardian of the Ash Diamond
It's not all asymmetry. It's just Frankenstein-heads. How to Train Your Dragon's two-headed dragon niggled my peeve-reflex, it didn't quite set it off, but a definite tingling. It's just the fact the two heads did different things. >_<
Re: Derohk, Guardian of the Ash Diamond
So what are we agreeing on? I say chimera for the sake of kewl gauntlets.

What was the chimera option again? Dark said chimera means any mutated combo.

Re: Derohk, Guardian of the Ash Diamond
And what would the Gauntlets look like? A lionhead with horns and snake caressing it?
Re: Derohk, Guardian of the Ash Diamond
Since I think the guardian should be a chimera with a lion's body and head, a second, goat head, and a snake for a tail, I would say the right gauntlet would be a lion head, used for Melee. The left, a goat head which spits ash for Range. Both would be used together for Magic. I say the ammo would be ashes which have been enchanted by Death Runes (Death Ashes?)
But I suppose the chimera you posted would be fine, thus your suggestion for the weapon's appearance, but how would we get two gauntlets? I suppose the chimera could wear armor but...

Cerberus should be the species, not the individual. There might be more than one.

Re: Derohk, Guardian of the Ash Diamond
I never imagined the gauntlets would actually be the creatures heads... I didn't think the number and appearance had to be representative of the creature.

Well apparently other people did, and apparently not everyone shares your ridiculous need for absolute symmetry.

A Soul Eater reference would be awesome right now, but only I would get it.
Who's actually writing this guardian anyway?

Re: Derohk, Guardian of the Ash Diamond
I remember a quest featuring Cerberus, I never got round to writing it, but it was going to be the penultimate boss.
Cerberus was forged from a demon lord that stole the powers of the constellations. It had three heads, itself (a wolf), Canis Major and Canis Minor. As well as three heads, it overbeared itself with twelve tails, three belonging to the dogs, while others were stolen from other constellations; Saggitarius, Scorpio, Pisces, Leo, Tauros, Corvus (the crow or raven), Serpens (the snake), Draco (the dragon) and Hydra. Each constellation was thrown into the cursed mix, and set upon those whom their theif targetted as an enemy.

What's symmetry got to do with the last thing I said?

I understood what you meant, the point was how's it relevant.
Also, I object to being mechanised.

Re: Derohk, Guardian of the Ash Diamond
Depends what work you have envisioned me doing. Most robots lack creativity skills because they are incapable of viewing the world in anything other than a logical/factual way.
