Re: Pokemon stuff.
Not all of them have been revealed just yet. At least, I think they haven't.
They better not leave Riolu or Munchlax out. It's inhumane to leave either of them out.

Re: Pokemon stuff.
So we have a step forward. The first pure flying type (Torunerosu), the first Fighting type legendary (Meloia Step Forme and Kerudio), the first bug type legendary (Insekuta) aside from Arceus holding fist, sky or insect plates.
We should come up with our own ideas!

Re: Pokemon stuff.
How can you not like Pokemon? It's like the only nerdy thing that it's socially acceptable to like!

Re: Pokemon stuff.
Nerd means socially unacceptable so trying to call something like Pokemon "nerdy" is disingenuous in the extreme [/peeve]
Now on to the reasons I dislike pokemon!
1) As a child my parents didn't let me get videogames, something I'm actually thankful for. This meant that pokemon was actually a major factor in my social isolation when i was younger (I'm now not socially isolated...).
2) In middle school my best friend started getting far more obsessed with pokemon than anyone else and because of the amount of time he spent on it he wasn't asked to come back the next year, so I can thank pokemon for removing a friend from my life
3) It is the most stupid and infantile thing I have ever seen, yet somehow because it was the thing that "caught on" and was "cool" it has now become the focus of a circle jerk of obnoxious nostalgia.

Re: Pokemon stuff.
I recently got all the films ('cept the 13th)... nostalgia much! Still pretty terrible though.
Re: Pokemon stuff.
there are 13!?
Man... I am REALLY behind! >,<
Taht makes sense, since the 3rd generation came out. I got the games until emerald and the first mystery dungeon, but that's it.
I absolutely hate the 4th generation. I quit pokemon off an on throught middle school, and most of high school until last year where this one person was in my first and second block A-days (that's a three-hour period) reintroduced me. Now I kinda forgot about it until now! XD

Re: Pokemon stuff.
The fourth generation came across as that it was planned to be the last. They were releasing lots of new additions to long concrete evolution lines and loads of legendaries, including the so-called "God Pokemon" Arceus.
To be honest, I don't think Arceus is the "god" of the Pokemon world. All that is said is that it was born into chaos and "built" the universe. Somehow, I doubt one being could do that.
In my opinion, Arceus is the precursor Pokemon. It's species being "alpha" could substantiate this. It was probably the first and therefore made the eggs for the other legendaries so that they could bring order to chaos, by taking control or authority over time, space, matter and antimatter. The whole word, prior to the creation of the legendaries, could have been like the Distortion world we see in Platinum. Unstable, but mouldable.
With time properly being governed by Dialga, events could be properly alligned.
With space carefully managed by Palkia, worlds and realms could be made.
Giratina would govern the Distortion world, a realm of antimatter, to serve as support for reality and a template for new dimensions.
Groudon created the land and continents, Kyogre gave origin to the seas and storms, Rayquaza would monitor their work from the skies.
Though I think the legendaries shouldn't be creators or "gods", but rare beasts from ancient times, like Entei, Suicune, Raikou, Lugia and Ho-oh.
Who's Pokemon are everyone's favourites? Should we also suggest some of our own here?

Re: Pokemon stuff.
Apparently the Advanced Generation series was very good... the stories were better with more focus being on a storyline (with it building over the episodes) rather than Ash just going for badges. I haven't seen it though.
Re: Pokemon stuff.
Favorite pokemon of all time would have to be Psyduck.

Re: Pokemon stuff.
Gengar is my favourite! (maybe Ghastly too, he had an epic episode on the first season... Venustoise ftw!)
Pikachu and Squirtle come next.
