From what I can tell, black/ white is actually interesting. And pokemon ethnic equality/ gray/ clear/ crimson will be better.

Re: Pokemon stuff.
i stopped liking daimond and pearl because the designs and stories got shot to hell, so i might get soul, but I still have the original crystal, i have seen some designs for black and white and everything seems okay cept for the starters all looking horrible, except the water one which turns into some leviathan-dragon thing.

Re: Pokemon stuff.
That's the problem with the starters. The Fire starter will become a Fighting-Type, but isn't the nicest thing to look at. I'm going for Mijumaru (though part of me will try to get an Action Reply to code me in a Riolu).

Re: Pokemon stuff.
I got HeartGold, it was enormously fun. Skipped Gen IV because the Pokemon designs looked silly - considering hopping back in for Black/White because it seems like the games will be really interesting.

Re: Pokemon stuff.
The fire starter usually has the advantage of being one of few fire types in game... at least early on anyway. Grass can usually be substituted with a insert, poison or normal type (although grass is usually quite early also) and water is easy to obtain.

Re: Pokemon stuff.
A new fire-type Pokemon, Hihidaruma, features an ability called Daruma Mode. This ability results in a forme change when HP is cut by half.
In this forme, Attack and Special Attack switch stats. Speed is reduced, whilst defences are increased. In this forme, Hihidaruma becomes discoloured, the fiery eyebrows have gone and it appears more feeble. This new forme also adopts the Psychic-type, in conjunction to its new stat changes.

Re: Pokemon stuff.
There is a rumour that the Japanese release of Pokemon Red, Blue and Green featured a disturbing sound in the music for Lavender Town. The short clip of sound, almost inaudible, is claimed to have provoked a side-effect in younger players.
Some claimed the sound wave triggered an effect in the brain, that stimulated sickness or unusual feelings. Having listened to it myself, I couldn't sense anything, but then again I am 18 and I probably wasn't focussing full attention to it, as a player would.
My theory is, just listening to the game doesn't make the mind suceptible to the sound, but focussing on playing simultaneously to listening to the music, may have a more significant effect. With the brain's activity being greater as a result of controlling precision based motor responses, logic and reasoning, the neurones are more susceptible to other stimuli, and perhaps this is how the tone makes its effect.

Re: Pokemon stuff.
Having looked into the phenomena much more, it wasn't just reports of creepy subtones, but also visual hauntings.
Claims such as a chillingly detailed white, decaying hand appearing on screen; a ghostly series of faces and screaming pictures and the "Buried Alive" character. Anyone care to comment?

Try looking it up yourself. I shall leave it to the cynic to find evidence for themself.

"It is theorised that, because of this location in the game, at least two hundred children lost their lives, and many more developed sudden illnesses and afflictons - and this does not consider the vast waves of unreported illnesses or deaths whose cause went unnoticed. "
Riiight....
EDIT: .gif and .swf in a gameboy? Suuure...
Also, been there, done that, nothing happened...
EDITEDIT: It's fake, a really nice ghost story, but it is fake

Re: Pokemon stuff.
It is purely rumour. I said "claims", but didn't specify them to be accurate.
