Gengar is my favourite! (maybe Ghastly too, he had an epic episode on the first season... Venustoise ftw!)
Pikachu and Squirtle come next.

Re: Pokemon stuff.
Hard choice. My favourites as of late is Riolu and Lucario.
I came up with a Pokemon called Lycoslupin, the Mother Wolf Pokemon. She (and I stress that she is a female) travels the world, aiding travellers like herself and acting as mother to all the legendaries where Arceus was unable to fulfil that role. As a result of her caring nature over the legendaries, she learnt and acquired some of their powers.
Her signature moves include Wolven Wiles, which allows her to use any move like Metronome, with the ability to preset a legendary move by holding an item belonging to a specific ancient creature. The other was Aura Shot, which was a Fighting type move with an unknown effect.

Blaziken was my favorite. Ruby was the first I'd played, and when Blaziken popped up it just seemed so. . . badass!
I got SoulSilver recently, but to be honest, if I'm ever going to properly get involved with Pokemon these days, It'll be through reading creepypasta...

Re: Pokemon stuff.
Quite nice.
I designed a lot of Eeveelutions at one point, including a standard normal-evo. Eevee is described as being able to adapt to any environment... yet, it's said all Pokemon evolve (except the Legendaries, who are believed to have been born perfect - thus, no need to evolve). This means Eevee would have an evolution if there were no harsh environmental factors... hence, Eeveon.
It's been a long time since I drew those though.
I miss drawing Pokemon, they were fun.

Did you know that 1 of the ads sent out to Super K-mart that that put on display said that you could be a pokémon gym leader in the Emerald version of the game and it wasn't an April Fool's Day joke?

Re: Pokemon stuff.
You would be my least favourite gym leader. Except for Brock in the first game for any starter except Squirtle... Bulbasaur, Charmander and Pikachu are fail and the only things you can catch leading up to him are normal and grass types!
One of my mates has a suicide Yu-Gi-Oh deck. The whole thing's built around increasing his enemies lifepoints while decreasing his own, then hitting Self Destruct.

Re: Pokemon stuff.
Something tells me the monochrome generation (Black and White versions coming out later next year) was made sometime between Pearl, Diamond, Platinum version and Heart Gold and Soul Silver versions. It appears they removed the feature of having Pokemon walk behind the player, a feature absent in the Sinnh games, but not in the Johto remakes.
However, we have only seen the prototype images, so the follwing Pokemon feature may be readded in the final or european versions.
It is also being said that;
1. Rock Smash will lose the title of HM and become a TM again as it was in Generation II
2. The Isshu region will only feature its own species of Pokemon, having 156 species release this year. This could mean the first game in which Pikachu doesn't appear.
3. Cut will change from being a Normal-type move to a Bug-type move, due to the nature of its use (bug-types are super effecitve against grass-types and it is used to cut foliage).
4. Swords Dance will feature a new hidden extra that causes it to boost the base power of moves that involve cutting (Cut, leaf blade, fury swipes, fury cutter etc.).

Re: Pokemon stuff.
Of course, the Isshu Pokedex may contain 200 or more different species like the Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh editions. It should hopefully list the "old favourites".
1. Pichu, Pikachu, Raichu
2. Azurill, Marill, Azumarill
3. Zubat, Golbat, Crobat
4. Machop, Machoke, Machamp
5. Abra, Kadabra, Alakazam
6. Geodude, Graveller, Golem
7. Goldeen, Seaking
8. Magikarp, Gyarados
9. Feebas, Milotic
10. Heracross
11. Tentacool, Tentacruel
There are also new sprites that have already been uploaded for Riolu, Lucario, Munchlax and Snorlax and Rhyhorn suggesting they may feature. Others may also be available, so it could be a greater number being part of the dex or they may be just recent uploads of the National Dex.
We are currently at 649. What will be no. 666?

Re: Pokemon stuff.
I don't know about the "classics" actually, the new generation has virtually covered all the niches that things like Zubat filled. But it'd be a shame not to include them.
Re: Pokemon stuff.
The Japanese don't have any special reason for #666 to be something evil. It'll probably be one of the evolutions of the creatures in the first 2 routes.

Re: Pokemon stuff.
On Pokemon Black and White, There will be over 600 new pokemon
They are redoing everything, the only way to get other pokemon not in the new region besides through trade is through something called the dream world where the abilities for every pokemon are different and you can catch every pokemon in it
There is now a triple battle
The starters are:
1: A fire pig(bacon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
2:A grass Snake
3:And some weird water thing
The new legendaries are cool

None of this is true but maybe number 4 no offense to you morbius, all HM's are being changed and number 1 the first sentence is true.
The game will be based on evil due to the release of Arceus who is not god he just created the world but he himself was born
More to come....

Re: Pokemon stuff.
The current villain teams as follows in the Main Stream series of Games.
Team Rocket - A criminal syndicate planning to rule the world using Pokemon by taking over the most powerful industries - Rupert Murdoch anyone?
Team Magma/ Aqua - Either increase landmass or water coverage for people and Pokemon - So it's a humanitarian order then? They still had better Pokemon than Rocket.
Team Galactic - Using Dialga or Palkia to create a brand new world to replace the existing one in Cyrus' image - Super God Complex.
Team Plasma - "free" Pokemon from the servitude of man and create a black and white world - So they want to turn the world into a 1920's film? What does that have to do with Plasma?

Re: Pokemon stuff.
One important thing when you buy preowned Pokemon games, be prepared for the worst.
I bought a preowned Ruby version. It took me ages to find an Absol and I decided to teach it some useful moves, as it would have been a brilliant addition to the team. The previous owner, however, was incredibly stupid. They had used, Shadow Ball an effective move, on a Linoone. How could they have been so stupid?
Not only that, but I checked and they had pretty much sold or wasted every decent TM available that wasn't replacable and still had no money! They really must have been crap!
Another version of the game, Fire Red version. Starting a little earlier in the game, shortly after defeating Erika. The player had very little useful Pokemon, but I chose to improvise. The fact was, I could tell the previous owner had sub-average intelligence. How did I know? You kind of get the hint when they name half of their Pokemon; fart, poo and bum along with two of their PC boxes.
They may have just been to migrate Pokemon initially, but there is clearly a lot of work to be done. These copies clearly look like "pure" copies, where the player focused their attention solely on training one or two Pokemon and completing the league, rather than take the time to enjoy one of the key elements of the game, catching.

Re: Pokemon stuff.
Sometimes the previous owners do daft things just to annoy.
At least you didn't wind up with one of those "haunted hacks" that keep being told about across the net.....
Actually, on second thoughts, one of those would be brilliant.
